Tryouts & Short Stays – May to Nov 2025
Calling All Junior Players!
Are you a junior football player keen to develop your skills with a dedicated and aspirational team? You can now join Bali SBK’s daily training sessions or stay with us in Bali for a week, a month, or two. We’re running tryouts throughout May for aspiring young players.
In the lead-up to our next big tournaments in June and November, Bali SBK wants you to come and experience the SBK difference. Spots are available for local, expat, and visiting players. Contact our team here.
Local, Expat, and Visiting Players Welcome
Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for local kids, expat and Indonesian, to train with our team in picturesque Kedungu from May. As we ramp up to our next big tournament in early June, we’d love for you to join us.
If you’re living in Australia, New Zealand or elsewhere in SE Asia, you’re welcome for a short stay anytime. But you may be excited to hear we have spots open for our next big overseas tournament in Australia in November. Come train in Bali and play for Team Bali SBK in Australia!
Join and Learn From The Team
So, if you’re looking to get evaluated, learn our systems and level up your game, now is the time to enroll! Head Coach Brandon McDonald, ex pro football player with plenty of international experience, says to expect an education around the fundamentals of football. But it goes well beyond the basics, visiting players will learn Bali SBK’s philosophy, patterns of play, and systems. Training as part of the Bali SBK football team means being part of a crew of highly dedicated teen players with serious aspirations. All of the full-time students here are mapping out their pathways to soccer scholarships at top-tier international colleges. “It’s a great life experience for the kids,” says McDonald.
Short Stays For Visitors
Spots are open starting in May for the local option (which visiting players are also welcome to enroll for). The Australian tournament short stay options will commence at the start of the local academic year in August. Visiting players will be part of a multicultural group of students following Bali SBK’s academic stream in their own dedicated facilities with workspace, gym, food and relaxation areas catered for. “It’s a special offering that not many places around the world offer,” says McDonald. “If they are in school, the academic side of their development is looked after. We have a space that allows them to put their head down and do the work. The other kids here will be in that process, so it helps them focus.”
Bali SBK’s Super Team
After recent successes integrating young local players on scholarships and competing in a tournament in Singapore, the team is on fire and ready for fresh talent to come cut their teeth. McDonald says his hope is to put together a super team of players from the region – all skilled in the Bali SBK fundamentals and team spirit – to go out and show this part of the world what Bali has to offer.
